Evansville Wartime Museum
Event DateMarch 10, 6:00pm - January 21, 7:30pm
Evansville was an active industrial contributor to World War II. Most of her factories were retooled to aid in the war effort, in addition to the efforts of the shipyard and Republic Aviation. This created a demand for employees which was met by workers from Western Kentucky, Southern Illinois, and Indiana.
The history of this time is preserved by the Evansville Wartime Museum through stories and artifacts detailing Evansville’s contribution to the war effort.
This is a joint program of the Tri-State Genealogical Society and Willard Library, and will be presented by Steve Witte and Jeffrey Deig.
This program will serve as the March TSGS meeting.
