Join us at WPL for a truly unique Holiday Experience:

Victorian Christmas Traditions

Explore the enchanting world of Victorian Christmas Traditions with us! Immerse yourself in festive Christmas spirit as we delve into the unique celebrations of the Victorian era. Get hands-on experience adorning a Christmas tree with the same materials used by our ancestors. Following the program, savor authentic snacks crafted by Bea’s Sweet Treats.

“Photos with Father Christmas and Krampus,” will precede the main event and run from 5 to 6 PM. Head to the lower level of Willard Public Library and step into the festive atmosphere of the Reading Room.

Capture magical moments with the cheerful Father Christmas and the mischievous Krampus, who will be distributing treats to the nice and perhaps a bit of coal to those on the naughty list. As an added treat, a brass quartet will enchant attendees with the joyful melodies of Christmas tunes.

This delightful occasion serves as a prelude to the Victorian Christmas Traditions program starting at 6PM. Learn how our 1800s ancestors celebrated the holiday season and understand the hardships that came with living in the era.

Due to the program’s popularity, space is limited, so secure your spot by registering at your earliest convenience. RSVP below or contact Willard Public Library at 812-425-4309 or email genealogy@willard.lib.in.us to reserve your place in this delightful journey through time.

Don’t miss this chance to step into the past and embrace the magic of Victorian Christmas!
